Pelikan Writing Sets

This writing set was produced by Pelikan Milan. The writing instrument are made of plastic. What is striking is the flat spring steel clip.

Pelikan Nederland B.V. applying this series in 1984 or 1985 in its advertising magazine. The pens have been probably sold only in Benelux.

P200 and P220 are called master style.
P260 and P300 called Gun Metal.

Ballpoint pen and fountain pen of these sets have a satin plastic surface. The fountain pen with push-on cap is defined by its semi-concealed stainless steel nib.

The pens of this writing set are made mostly of plastic. However the tip of the ballpoint pen and the grip section of the fountain pen are made of solid metal  to add some weight to the pens and make them feel better for writing.

This set of a pen and (push button) ball pen is made of a matte blue-transparent barrel and cap with chrome fittings. The Pelikan icon on the edge of the screw cap has two chicks in the nest. The stainless steel nib shows a simple symbol with one Pelikan chick.
The shape and the ink feed matches the 4000 set. The barrels end and the matte surface of the filler are different from the 4000 set.

From 1999 the Set 2000 was prepared in two colors. The material is matt transparent.

The piston filler and the ballpoint pen are made of blue transparent plastic with chrome fittings.
The fountain pen has a screw-cap, the ballpoint pen a push mechanism.

As Pelikan 2003 changes its brand logo from two to one chick in the nest, the design of this writing set is also changed. The color design of the matt, silver-colored barrel and the cap with the chrome-plated ends remain. The ends of the caps now run conically to the previous model, with straight cylindrical ends. The black, visible part of the grip section becomes shorter as more of the barrel is hidden. Overall, the dimensions of the writing instruments are increased.

The pens of Set 4000 are made of transparent plastic. The pen has a screw cap. The set includes a ballpoint pen with push mechanism.
The printed Pelikan symbol shows 1 chick in the nest, but the nib of the Pelikan Cartridge filler still shows the old logo with 2 chicks in the nest.

The pens of the Pharo series are noted for their unconventional design, with a slim barrel end of just 9 mm tapering outwards towards the flared cap head with its 16 mm diameter. As the screw cap and the barrel are made of metal, the writing instruments are notably heavy; the weight is distributed approximately equally between the cap and barrel. The pens are offered as cartridge pen (P72), (rotary) ballpoint pen (K72) or rollerball (R72) with cap. The fountain pens are offered only in the nib size M.

At Pelikan Milan this set is offered consisting of fountain pen and twist ball pen. Barrel and cap of writing instruments are made of heavy metal, which are black or white matt lacquered. The polished nib carrying the Pelikan logo.
The set complements the JAZZ Elegance line of pencils and ballpoint pens, which are available in many other colors.
