4001 Fountain pen ink

Under the common product name 4001 various fountain pen-compatible inks are combined with proven recipes; also those that belonged to other varieties before.

Blue-Black is a compatible iron gall ink, which is document-proof and suitable for professional use. While writing, it is initially dark blue and appears greyish after drying. It is the closest to the original 4001.

Royal blue is erasable as a typical school ink, washable out of clothing. Fountain pens should remain clean and ready to write. It is therefore also recommended to dissolve solid dried ink residue in the pen. It was changed shortly after the millennium, is now a bit darker and better lives up to its name.

The remaining colors, including brilliant black, are not erasable, but also not lightfast. They are especially suitable for school and hobby. Many fashion colors were only temporary and available only in cartridge form (TP / 6).

¹ The color representation is to be understood as an example, since it isphysically not possible to specify binding (obligation) colors. Scanners provide different color values, there is a dependency on the light and the display is different on different screens, moreover, screens can not represent all material colors. By various external influences, e.g. the age of inks or the paint application it will further change the look.
